Seizure of illegal motorbikes.

Good morning,

in the early hours of today (12/06/26) we received a report from a concerned member of the public regarding motorcycles being ridden in Tower Gardens, Skegness.

Officers attended and located the 2 vehicles, a “pit bike” and a pedal cycle which had been modified with the addition of an engine. Both vehicles were seized by officers using powers under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.

The dangers of riding without helmets or a licence don't need any explanation.
 

The anti-social use of motorbikes, either similar to those described above or illegal use of e-bikes similar to the Suron-style bikes is of real concern.

We’re asking for people to share any information that will help us reduce the dangers involved. If someone you know is riding an illegal e-bike/off road bike let us know by calling 101 or 999 if there is a real and present danger.
